Baby Ryker was my latest newborn session.

 He was such a teensie  little guy!! 

To calm him down and get him to sleep mom just turned on a little Jason Aldean!

 It was such a chill session with a sleepy little cowboy and a little country music in the back ground.

i like to pretend he will adopt his daddy's southern accent.

raw emotion

i know my clients love the perfectly posed family photo's.

i do to.

but here is the thing...

a photo that captures  raw emotion

and portrays the relationship between people...

well, there is just nothing more beautiful.

i will still be doing a few posed family photo's in my sessions

but i am moving more toward candid photography.

there was just something so sweet

captured between this little guy and his grandpa.

Newborn Composite Photo {behind the scenes}

newborns just may be my favorite sessions.

the most important thing during a newborn session

is safety.

there are tons of beautiful newborn images

floating around right now on facebook and pinterest.

most of these images are composite {two or more images combined}.

while the image below make look like the baby is sleeping with

her head resting in her hands,

that pose is actually nearly impossible for a newborn to

hold on their own.

the composite shot helps me get a great end product

while keeping the baby safe at all times.
