she's one.
ONE.
I remember the day she was born
like it was yesterday.
She was born {via emergency c-section}
and the room was quiet.
silent.
No crying baby.
absolute stillness.
The NICU team worked on her
so hard
trying to get a breath
a cry.
Finally, there was a little grunt.
They held her up to show us
and wisked her away.
And it was quiet again.
I said nothing as quiet tears dripped down my face
and I thanked my Heavenly Father
for this sweet baby girl.
