Alexa Part Deux {Alpine Photographer}

For some photo sessions

the stars all a line

the lighting

the location

the families

are perfect.

No crying babies

or grouchy toddlers

everything is just ideal.

This was not one of those sessions.

{i can say that because this is my daughter}

Who was grumpy

due to her refusal to have naps.

The evening was so hot

and the air was smoky

yes, another wildfire

and there was a dead bird?

chicken?

something.. near by that totally gave me the creeps

Even though the conditions were far from perfect

the pictures

are

PERFECTION

just like her.

well actually..

This is the face of the baby who is leading The Baby Revolution Against Naps.

{ and yes, absoluetly presh. even with out a nap}

Alexa {one year old picture's}

yup,

she's one.

ONE.

I remember the day she was born

like it was yesterday.

She was born {via emergency c-section}

and the room was quiet.

silent.

No crying baby.

absolute stillness.

The NICU team worked on her

so hard

trying to get a breath

a cry.

Finally, there was a little grunt.

They held her up to show us

and wisked her away.

And it was quiet again.

I said nothing as quiet tears dripped down my face

and I thanked my Heavenly Father

for this sweet baby girl.

Alexa is One!

My sweet baby girl celebrated her 1st birthday on June 16! I have been very busy the last month but last night I finally sat down to edit her birthday pic's. Here is a little peak, I will post the rest of them later this week{hopefully}. Happy Birthday Alexa Lou, we love you!
